The zoo and amusement park in Valbrembo, near Bergamo, an hour’s drive from Milan, created by Angelo Ferruccio Benedetti in 1981; it covers an area of 100,000 square meters.
In the Le Cornelle wildlife park, all animals are in their familiar environment, they do not sit in cramped enclosures, but roam freely throughout the park.
Rare species of animals whose populations are on the brink of extinction have found a home in Le Cornelle. White Bengal tigers have completely disappeared in the wild, and the Le Cornelle park provides them with excellent living and breeding conditions.
Snow leopards, white lions, hyacinth macaws, antelopes and cheetahs, elephants and hippos, lemurs and parrots – all these animals feel great in this amazing place.
Students from the University of Milan undergo internships at Le Cornelle, observing the animals, learning to understand them and care for them. The research conducted helps young scientists gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between humans and nature.
Special excursion routes have been developed for guests in the park, during which visitors can stroll through a real tropical landscape and watch the animals.
The park has a restaurant and pizzeria, a picnic area, and souvenir shops, as well as a children’s play area.
The park is open from March to October.
