Madrid Panorama and the Prado Museum
The Royal Palace (Palacio Real de Madrid) – the largest of all existing royal palaces in Europe today and one of the main attractions of Madrid. The Palace is the official residence of the Kings of Spain. However, currently King Felipe VI does not live there, and the palace is used for ceremonial purposes and as one of the museums of Madrid.
The National Prado Museum is one of the largest and most significant museums of European fine art. To date, Prado has the most complete collection of works by Hieronymus Bosch, El Greco, Diego Velazquez, Goya. Here you can see paintings by masters such as Raphael, van Eyck, Rubens, Dürer, Titian and others. Among the latest acquisitions of the Prado museum are paintings by Pieter Bruegel and Francisco Pacheco, created in the 16th-17th centuries.
