The city of Amalfi:
Flavio Gioia Square – The square is named after the local navigator Flavio Gioia, who lived in the 13th-14th centuries and invented (according to another version – improved) the compass.
Cathedral (paradise courtyard, frescoes by Pietro Cavallini, Crypt (relics of Andrew the Apostle) – The Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Amalfi – a Catholic cathedral in the city of Amalfi in Italy. Built in the 9th-10th centuries, originally in Arab-Norman style.
Walk through the typical streets of the city:
Paradise Monastery – built in the 13th century and decorated with interesting mosaic panels and beautiful marble columns, in whose architecture Arab influence is clearly traced.
Paper Museum (visit optional) – Amalfi was famous for its particularly valuable paper since the Middle Ages; it was called – Amalfitan.
Transfer to the city of Ravello:
Visit to the Rufolo Villa – It represents well-preserved ruins from the 13th century, surrounded by magnificent tropical gardens.
Cimbrone Villa – famous for its “Terrace of Infinity,” located at the end of a long alley 350 meters above the sea. From here, many believe, the most beautiful panorama in the world opens up.
Cathedral – named after Saint Pantaleon – the great healer, has preserved interiors from the 11th-12th centuries, where a capsule containing his congealed blood is kept.
Transfer to the city of Positano:
Walk through the city (you can have lunch in one of the restaurants located on the shore, overlooking the Li Galli islands (property of Myasin, then Nureyev, and now a wealthy Italian family).
