The Royal Palace of Caserta is a grand country palace of the Neapolitan kings in Campania, built according to the design of Luigi Vanvitelli in the 18th century. The 1200 rooms house collections of furniture, household items, the famous porcelain room painted in Chinese style. An extensive English park with numerous fountains, an aqueduct, and a silk factory with workers’ houses disguised as garden pavilions surrounds the palace.
