Nero d’Avola
Nero d’Avola, the most beloved red Sicilian grape variety, has nothing subtle about it. It is a very fruity, full-bodied wine with a lot of soft tannins. In the past, it was often used in blends of table wines, but over the last two decades, it has become popular as a varietal wine.
What does Nero d’Avola taste like? Each sip brings a bouquet of ripe fruits, including blackberry, plum, and cherry. Combined with richer notes of chocolate, coffee, and peppery spices for a rich, rounded finish.
